Health matters
Jonathan had his 2 yr checkup and cried the entire time the dr was in the room. Even before the stethoscope and the ear exam. He didn't cry when he saw the nurse who had the needles, but he sure did scream when she stuck him. And he hated the green Snoopy band-aid she put on his finger after his hemoglobin test. Screamed like hell until we took it off.
Lucky me, Jonathan has had a cough for the last few days and now a runny nose just in time to go for his well visit. For the last 3 visits to the Dr, Mr. J has had fluid on his ear and Dr Cotlar wants us to be more agressive about the speech delay because he thinks there is a pattern. Don't you generally go to see the doctor when the child is sick? So of course there is a pattern.
I don't have the energy for this right now, more tests and evaluations - speech thrapist, hearing tests, developmental analysis. And he suggested we go to the dentist. Like I have the patience to take a 2 yr old to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned, poked and prodded. It's not like either of his parents have been inside a dentist's office in over a year that we've been here.
Also he suggested to get him to the CMV follow-up clinic and I am not exactly sure how to go about doing that. Yet another thing for me to expend my boundless energy on.
