Don't take anything for granted

This picture makes me sad. 

 

This guy grew up literally around the corner from me. He married a friend of a friend and has 2 wonderful boys and a few pets. He's maybe a few years older, but not by much. 

I remember this one time when he and his friends fixed my bike tire for me so I could ride home.

He recently had a stroke (not a strokelet) and his brilliant wife got him to the hospital to figure out why he had limited feeling on his right side: arm and leg.

 

Thankfully the stroke has only weakened his arm and leg and has not caused any brain impairment. PT/OT is in order which will reverse the strength and coordination loss. As a family they are very optimistic and have kept their humor because they will continue to have a long bright future ahead of them.
